Lumus Imaging

A national multi-site signage rebrand rollout, delivered at around 35% below budget.

Healius Ltd is one of Australia's leading healthcare companies, with an expansive network of pathology laboratories, diagnostic imaging centres, day hospitals and IVF clinics.

We are currently at the tail end of an extensive rebrand consolidating all 135 of our diagnostic imaging divisions and sub-brands across Australia to the one national, unified brand, Lumus Imaging.

As Brand Implementation Managers, wiin was engaged to plan, design and rollout the new Lumus Imaging brand across all 135 sites in Australia. Our scope included to:

  • Scenario plan and model ‘high level’ costs for various approaches to launch and rollout

  • Identify opportunities to reduce signage costs

  • Prepare rebrand programme plan and timeline

  • Investigate current signage placement across the existing networks in Australia

  • Design and develop an online Site Audit Form to be used onsite to capture all required information

  • Prepare Signage Specifications

  • Prepare site specific Signage Montage Documentation

  • Assist and obtain all relevant Landlord and Council Approvals

  • Project Manage the rollout:

    - Procurement: signage manufacture and installation

    - Site Coordination & Quality Assurance

    - Attendance to defects

    - Contracts Administration

From the outset, we understood the complexity of this project, particularly the fact that sites are not standardised, reside in different jurisdictions with variable regulatory and compliance requirements and change required engagement with multiple stakeholders. We also recognised that signage is a cottage industry and we were seeking assistance on both procurement and quality across specification management, tendering, manufacturing and installation.

As a consequence, we sought assistance from a specialist project management company to ensure we had complete visibility of the roll out and were obtaining best possible market prices through competitive tendering.

Our experience with wiin has been exemplary. All projects have been delivered on time, the team have been proactive in the management of all stakeholders (Group Property, Procurement, Lumus operations team, landlords, councils & suppliers) while most importantly, the project has been delivered at around 35% below budget, more than justifying our investment in Gilles and his team.
