The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) is recognised as Australia’s largest sports and leisure complex, and we were involved in both stages of development:
Stage 1 (1998) – Greenfield construction project:
WIIN Solutions worked collaboratively with brand designers Cato Partners in Melbourne and Peddle Thorp Architects, to deliver the technical specifications and implementation services needed for all signage, wayfinding and branded elements at the new complex. This included to:
- Prepare construction drawings and provide technical advice
- Organise approval from local authorities
- Manufacture and install all signage elements
Stage 2 (2005) – Facilities upgrade and major extension for the 2006 Commonwealth Games:
Working again with Peddle Thorp Architects, we provided project management services, as well as graphic design and creative solutions to refresh the existing Visual Identity (VI) at the complex. Our role involved:
- Commissioning a designer to change MSAC’s identity across all branded elements
- Manage the budgets and approval process
- Tender the works and oversee the implementation of all new signage.
